Presenter Jill Manthorpe is Professor of Social Work and Director of the Unit. She is also Associate Director of the NIHR School for Social Care Research - the new body funding and conducting research to improve social care practice in England.
This seminar focuses on research undertaken by the Social Care Workforce Research Unit at King's College London into the adult social care workforce and the implications for policy, education and for practice. The seminar is open to all staff and students at Kingston University and at St George's, University of London, staff in local social services in the statutory, voluntary and private sectors, and to service users and carers and their organisations who assist with the School's social work education programmes.
