World Renewable Energy Congress 2018

Kingston University is hosting this year's World Renewable Energy Congress at Penrhyn Road on Tuesday 31 July - Friday 3 August 2018 with a welcome reception on Monday 30 July 2018.  

The organising body for this conference is the World Renewable Energy Network (WREN). With renewable energy being a fast growing industry, providing over 6 million jobs globally and triggering $300 billion world-wide, the WREN mission is to promote enabling policies and to further develop broad range of renewable energy technologies and applications in all section, including heating and cooling, agricultural applications, water desalination, industrial applications and for the transport sectors, leading to a better cleaner and safer world.

The conference will be addressing how renewables and sustainable buildings are the key solution for climate change, and the World Renewable Energy Network would like to invite abstract submissions on the following topics:

  • Sustainable & Low Energy Architecture
  • Biomass & Waste-to-Energy
  • Policy, Finance, Education & Sustainability

Abstract Submission
Abstracts must be one A4 page in length, approximately 300-500 words, single spaced in Arial font. The deadline to submit your abstract is 15 May 2018. For more information on abstract submission please see the conference flyer [PDF].  If accepted, your paper will feature in proceedings and possibly in the International Journal of Renewable Energy and Environmental Sustainability.

Conference location
Kingston University, London is based in Kingston upon Thames, a busy riverside town in South West London, with historical sites such as Hampton Court Palace and the majestic Richmond Park close by.  A short 30 minute train journey will take you straight to the heart of the Capital. Embrace London and all that it has to offer, from shopping sprees in Oxford Street, sightseeing on top of the London Eye, taking in a show at the London Palladium, refuelling at The Ritz or relaxing and reflecting along the River Thames.
