More about the speaker:

Louise is an occupational therapist who has specialised in the field of pulmonary rehabilitation since 1998, working in both research and clinical roles at Glenfield Hospital, University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust.

She completed her PhD at Leicester University in 2006 for which she investigated the effect of goal directed exercise in pulmonary rehabilitation. Louise then went on to work as a senior Pulmonary Rehabilitation Specialist and was Pulmonary Rehabilitation & Nurse Specialist Services Clinical Lead for University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust from 2009 until 2014.

She has published research findings investigating the delivery of pulmonary rehabilitation and has an interest in the measurement of daily activity, health status and occupational performance in chronic respiratory disease. In 2014 Louise took up a post as Assistant Professor in Occupational Therapy at Coventry University where she combines teaching with post graduate research supervision.

Louise is a member of the British Thoracic Society Pulmonary Rehabilitation Specialist Advisory Group and continues to be involved in research projects that explore interventions for people living with respiratory disease and other long-term conditions.
