Time: 5.00pm - 6.00pm
One prominent feature of the 'Global War on Terror' has been the attempted avoidance of international law and due process by the United States and its allies. In this interactive workshop Peter Finn from The Rendition Project will illustrate how this attempted avoidance led to the creation of a transnational system of extraordinary rendition. As part of a wide ranging discussion that will stretch from the battlefields of Afghanistan to Guantanamo bay via Egypt, Poland, Germany, the United Kingdom and beyond, this workshop will give you the chance to map the journeys of detainees caught up in the Rendition System.
