Speaker(s): Dr Helen Sharman from the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Computing
Dr Sharman – the first Briton in space – will be sharing her experiences about how she trained to become an astronaut, then flew to work aboard the MIR Space Station in 1991.
There will be a short, informal talk to introduce the topic followed by questions, answers and general discussion.
Pop along to Cafe Scientifique at Woody's to enjoy the discussion over a drink. The evening is designed to appeal to anyone with an interest in science and technology and takes place in surroundings where anyone can feel comfortable asking a question.
