Supported systems for the halls of residence network

Versions of Windows that are allowed to connect to the network are:

  • Windows 10
  • Windows Vista
  • Windows 7
  • Windows 8
  • Windows 8.1

Versions of Mac allowed to connect are:

  • Mac OSX 10.7 or later

Tablets and similar devices:

  • Android (please note: Gingerbread 2.3 to 2.3.7 will not work)
  • Windows
  • IOS (Apple)
  • Kindle

All LINUX-based devices are allowed to connect.

Anti-virus products

All major anti-virus products are supported including MS SCEP, AVG, Norton, McAfee, Avast and ClamXav.

Network devices

Please do not connect your own network devices (routers, access points, etc).
