Booking

Do I have to book to attend an Open Day?

Booking your place is highly recommended and will ensure a quick registration process on arrival.

Once you have booked, we can contact you with further information which will include directions and travel information, and details about the programme of events.

Will I be sent confirmation when I have booked?

Yes, you will be sent an immediate confirmation email when you book online.

Why haven't I received an email confirming my booking?

Your confirmation email may have been prohibited by your computer's security setting, or diverted by your spam/junk mail filter; please check your junk mail folder. Alternatively, there may be an error in the email address. If you think you may have entered an incorrect email address or would like your confirmation resent, please contact us and we will do our best to help you.

Your visit

What time does the Open Day start and finish?

You will be emailed details of opening and closing times for each campus. The Open Day programme is emailed a few days before the date of the event which will enable you to plan your day in advance.

Do I have to attend the whole day?

No. You can attend any part of the Open Day you wish, although we do advise you to attend your subject session and take part in as many activities as possible happening throughout the day.

Can I bring family and/or friends?

Yes, you are welcome to bring guests (parents, family and/or friends) with you to the Open Day.

How do I know which campus to visit?

Check which campus your subject session is at by visiting this page, but you can visit more than one campus if appropriate to your interests.

If you'd like to visit one of our other campuses for additional talks or tours you can use the free University campus shuttle bus to travel between campuses. Please note that entry times may vary between campuses.

Will I need to register on arrival?

When you book your place you will receive a confirmation email which you should show on arrival.

If you have not booked, don't worry; you can register on the day when you arrive.

Where can I get a programme?

You will be sent a link to the programme by email a few days before the Open Day so you can plan your day in advance. On the day, printed programmes will be available from the registration desk.

How do I travel in between campuses?

We have a free University campus shuttle bus service running between each campus throughout the day. These run approximately every 20 minutes, though times may vary due to traffic on the day.

What should I do if I go to the wrong campus?

Don't worry! Just speak to someone on the welcome desk or a student ambassador who will be able to help.

Travelling and parking

How do I get to Kingston University?

Is there parking?

  • Parking is available at Kingston Hill and Roehampton Vale campuses during University-wide Open Days, and there is a free campus shuttle bus that travels between sites.
  • There is no parking at our town centre sites (Penrhyn Road campus, Kingston School of Art, Knights Park campus and River House) on Wednesdays and spaces are very limited on Saturdays. Kingston town centre can be very congested, so we recommend the use of public transport - or parking at alternative campuses and using the free campus shuttle bus.
  • Other car parks are available in the local area.

Is disabled parking available?

Yes, parking is available for blue badge holders at all campuses.

Access requirements

Do you have disabled access?

All our venues have disabled access. Staff or student ambassadors will be available to assist on the day.

General questions

Is there food and drink available on the day?

Yes, we will have free tea and coffee stations at our campuses. You can also purchase food and drink from our on-site campus cafes.
