Travelling to campus during Open Days

Parking on campus

Open day attendees are advised to please check signs carefully before parking on campus, to ensure that parking is permitted for visitors. The roads in central Kingston can be very congested, so we recommend you use public transport for your journey.

Kingston Hill and Roehampton Vale campuses

Free parking is available at our Kingston Hill and Roehampton Vale campuses during University-wide Open Days.

Town centre campuses (Penrhyn Road and Kingston School of Art, Knights Park)

  • Parking is not available at Kingston School of Art, Knights Park campus
  • On Wednesdays, parking is not available at Penrhyn Road campus.
  • On Saturdays, free parking is available at Penrhyn Road (accessed via Fassett Road) during Open Days, although spaces are very limited.

At the Kingston School of Art Open Days on 31 October and 21 November 2018, there is no parking available at any site.

  • Kingston School of Art, Knights Park campus is a 10 minute walk from Penrhyn Road campus and is not served directly by the University shuttle bus, the closest stop is Penrhyn Road campus.
  • River House is a 5 minute walk from Penrhyn Road campus and is not served directly by the University shuttle bus, the closest stop is Penrhyn Road campus.

Other car parks are available in the local area.

Disabled parking

Free car parking is available on all sites for blue badge holders.

Campus shuttle bus route

During undergraduate University-wide Open Days, a free, regular campus shuttle bus travels between campuses including stops near Kingston town centre and train station.

The bus departs every 15-20 minutes throughout Open Days, although times can vary due to traffic. The first bus is approx. 30 minutes before the Open Day starts and the last bus is approx. 30 minutes after it closes.
