Midwifery / Registered Midwife for registered nurses PgDip: Entry requirements

What you need to apply for this course

Registration as an Adult Nurse (RNA) on the NMC Professional Register for Nurses, Midwives and Health Visitors (Parts 1 and 10).

Candidates pursuing the PgDip strand must have achieved a BSc(Hons) in Adult Nursing at grade 2.2 or above.

Non-native speakers who do not have the equivalent of GCSE English at grade 4 (formerly grade C) or an equivalent (eg Functional Skills Level 2 Literacy) require an Academic IELTS score of 7.0 or equivalent overall and at least 6.5 in the writing section and at least 7 in the reading, listening and speaking sections.

Our selection process includes an interview / Occupational Health clearance / Disclosure and Barring Service enhanced disclosure check.
