Our film, photography and music courses are highly bespoke, allowing you to focus your studies around your own practice or particular area of interest. We recognise that creatives work in unexpected and inventive ways and we encourage you to develop your own signature style.
You will be part of a rich and supportive environment with input from a wide range of diverse and internationally-recognised artists, photographers, curators, writers, producers researchers and performers. Our courses will give you the opportunity to develop a major body of work for exhibition and publication, including at our very own campus-based Stanley Picker Gallery; whilst our music courses will provide you with the opportunity to access specialist recording and audio equipment in the Visconti studio.
All our students have open access to our brand-new, world-class workshops including a photography suite, printmaking and moving image studios. You will be taught by practising artists, photographers and film makers, who will ensure your learning is at the forefront of industry.
You will be taught by academic staff with professional industry experience and have the opportunity to attend masterclasses and workshops. Alongside guest lectures, performances and exhibitions on campus, you will have access to a multitude of events in the Greater London area and be able to engage with the Kingston community via outreach programmes throughout the year.
As Kingston is only a short train ride from central London, our location is ideal for accessing the many film, music and art-based resources in London, such as the British Film Institute (the largest film archive in the world), and galleries such as the Tate Modern, Saatchi Gallery and many more.
