Kingston is ranked No.3 in London for journalism, publishing and public relations (Guardian University Guide league tables 2022). It is also the only university in London to offer the National Council for Training for the Training of Journalists (NCTJ) diploma alongside a postgraduate news journalism degree, widening the job market to our graduates.

Alongside these outstanding rankings, our journalism, media and publishing degrees are taught by working publishing professionals, journalists, and media communications specialists. You will hone your skills in our dedicated newsrooms and media suite, designed to give you the experience of working in a fast-paced professional environment. You will also work on live project briefs and gain a wealth of knowledge in industry-standard multimedia, digital, and broadcast software.

Our courses offer an optional integrated work placement programme to help you gain valuable, practical industry experience and provide you with the opportunity to link your studies to real-life situations at work.
