Tao has cross-cultural experience in studying, designing and teaching graphic design in both China and the
UK. She has developed design workshops and currently leads the Visual Identity and Graphic Experience Platform on the postgraduate course.

Our courses

Architecture and landscape

Our architecture and landscape courses encourage you to unravel theory, experiment with new materials and technologies and immerse yourself in the experience of crafting and making.



Art

The practical emphasis of our courses, the on-site Stanley Picker Gallery, and open access to our brand-new workshops allow for the opportunity to develop in a creative, vibrant environment.



Design

Our courses will help you develop the practical and technical skills required to create imaginative spaces, furniture and products, and to illustrate and design graphics.



Creative industries

You'll have the opportunity to work on several live briefs and industry projects throughout your course.



English and creative writing

You will have access to the Writers' Centre, Kingston, a literary centre dedicated to creative writing, which hosts talks, workshops, festivals, masterclasses and visits from literary agents, writers and publishers.



Film and photography

Our film and photography degrees will provide you with endless opportunities to experiment, take risks and develop your own signature style.



Fashion

We are ranked No.1 in London and No.3 in the UK for fashion in the Guardian University league table 2022.



Journalism and publishing

Our journalism and publishing courses are ranked No.3 in London by the Guardian University Guide league table 2022.

Our music students have access to the Visconti Studio, an analogue/digital hybrid recording studio with a 300m2 octagonal live room plus vintage and rare recording equipment.

Philosophy students are based at the UK's Centre for Research in Modern European Philosophy at Kingston University, renowned for its teaching and research in post-Kantian European philosophy.
