AHRC funding through the TECHNE consortium

Applications are now closed for 2024 entry for Arts and Humanities Research Council funding. Information on 2025 entry will be available later in the year but is not likely to change greatly. Please note that subjects outside of the arts and humanities are not eligible for this funding.

ESRC funding through the SEDarc consortium

Applications are now closed for 2024 entry for ESRC funding in the subject area 'Healthy and Thriving Communities'. Information on 2025 entry will be available later in the year.

Kingston University PhD Studentship Competition 2024

Our Studentship competition for 2024 is now closed.

Check back in December 2024 for more information on the October 2025 entry studentship competition, including Race Equality studentships and KU Alumni studentships.

Alumni

Kingston University alumni discount – a 10% reduction on all postgraduate courses (including research degrees) for students who have successfully completed an undergraduate degree or a masters degree with Kingston University.

Postgraduate Progression Scholarship

A 15% reduction in the tuition fees may be available for undergraduate students completing their degree at Kingston University and progressing directly to enrol on a postgraduate degree in the next academic year. For information regarding eligibility and how to apply, please see My Kingston.

Masters level loans

Masters by Research and MPhil (standalone MPhil not MPhil upgrading to PhD) students may apply for a loan of up to £12,167. Home fee paying students only. Find out more about postgraduate loans. See also the government's Masters Loans website.

PhD loans

Doctoral students living in England may apply for a loan of up to £28,673. Home fee paying students only. For further details please see the government's Doctoral Loans website.
