Research project: Multichannel Shopper Journeys: Decision Making Style, Shopper Journey Configuration and Shopping Well-being

Abstract

I am undertaking a PhD by alternative format thesis, in the form of three linked papers.

Paper 1 - Harris, P. (2017) Multichannel shopping well-being: a narrative based examination, Qualitative Market Research, 20 (3), pp. 354-369

Paper 2 - Harris, P., Dall'Olmo Riley, F. and Hand, C. Understanding multichannel shopper journey configuration: from motivation to goals. Currently under review at Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services

Paper 3 will be based on the findings of quantitative, multi-study research which will examine the relationships between goal conflict, decision making style and shopping journey configuration.

Biography

I have taught marketing at Kingston Business School since 1990, having joined from industry where I worked in market research and market analysis. I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Strategy, Marketing and Innovation. I teach both undergraduate and postgraduate students, in the subjects of global marketing management, brand management, and marketing strategy and planning. I was a course director for many years, and am now Director of Studies in my department, responsible for our overall portfolio of degree programmes.
