Launch Pad is an awareness-raising programme that inspires primary school children to start thinking about their future. The programme also aims to build confidence as pupils approach their transition to secondary school.
Launch Pad sessions usually take place on set dates during June and July, although ad-hoc sessions can be arranged provided there is sufficient notice.
Our student ambassadors will come into your school to introduce themselves and the idea of university. They will also provide your pupils with an understanding of what's in store for them during Session 2! This visit typically lasts between 30 and 60 minutes.
Your pupils will spend a day on campus working in small groups and directly with our friendly and experienced student ambassadors. They will have the opportunity to:
The day will also involve a mini-graduation ceremony with each pupil receiving a certificate of participation and having their photograph taken wearing a gown and mortar board (photographs will only be shared with the respective school).
