Dr Fatima Rajina

Lecturer in Sociology

About

I completed my PhD at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, looking at British Bangladeshi Muslims and their changing identifications and perceptions of dress and language. I am currently working on a project, Lutonians, along with a local photographer, Ahqib Hussain, to document the every day lived-experiences of people from Luton. I also worked as a Research Assistant at the Institute of Criminology, University of Cambridge looking at police and counter-terrorism and I recently completed working as a Teaching Fellow at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. I joined Kingston University as Lecturer in Sociology in 2018. I am currently teaching on the following UG courses: How to Change the World and Researching Race and Ethnicity.
