I am a practising architect, researcher and educator. I hold a PhD in Architectural Design from the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL. I was trained as an architect at the University of Chile and obtained my MArch at the Catholic University of Chile.
Through my investigations on the notion of absence in urban leftovers, I explore processes of design and representation as a way of prompting new understandings and alternative interventions in the built environment. I have taught and exhibited internationally.
I am a Senior Associate at Urban Transcripts (http://urbantranscripts.org) and co-founder of Devilat + Lanuza Architects (www.devilat-lanuza.com), an architectural practice based in London, focused on the critical understanding and use of 3D laser scanning. I currently develop a post-doctoral research at the UCL Urban Laboratory and the Bartlett School of Architecture.
