Dr Gillian Christie


I joined Kingston University (then Kingston Polytechnic) in 1989 following a postdoctoral Research Position at Temple University In Philadelphia USA. My research interests are in bioinorganic chemistry, specifically in the speciation of trace metals in biological and environmental systems,

I am one of the School Admissions, Recruitment and  Outreach Tutors and have been the  Admissions Tutor for the Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Science courses for almost 20 years. I have particular interests in Widening Participation and involved in outreach activities to encourage students to study science at university. i also coordinate the Undergraduate Ambassador Scheme projects which aims to encourage Undergraduates to pursue careers in teaching.
