Dr Joanna Yarker

Associate Professor in Occupational and Business Psychology

About

I divide my time between working at Kingston Business School and Affinity Health at Work, a niche consultancy specialising in health and well-being at work. Working together with Dr Rachel Lewis, I lead for the MSc and Professional Doctorate programmes in Occupational and Business Psychology. Over the last fifteen years, I have been fortunate to be part of a wide range of projects to promote and protect health at work and have a specific interest in understanding what works (and what doesn't!) in times of challenge - when we are unwell or under pressure. Our research has been funded by research councils and public and private sector clients including the HSE, CIPD, British Occupational Health Foundation, Wellcome and the Department of Work and Pensions and translated into guides, toolkits and metrics that organisations can use to help organisations, managers, teams and individuals better manage their work.
