Miss Lee Lui

About

I am the Course Lead for MSc/PGDip/PGCert Healthcare Practice and Module Leader for Anaesthetic Practice and Theatre Practice. I have extensive clinical experience within the perioperative environment prior to moving to the academic role. I have strong passion in both teaching and my area of expertise as I am also practicing in anaesthetics. Besides Programme and Module Leadership, I teach on the Foundation Degree for Nursing Associates and have personal tutor responsibility, and I supervise MSc students on their research projects. I am committed to teaching excellence and supporting learners through their journey at the university.

Research

I am currently undertaking a PhD study. I have collaborated with international colleagues on a research study with a small group of international students on their experience of a 10-day workshop on patient safety in Hiroshima, Japan in 2018. 

As part of my MSc study, I undertook a mixed methods study exploring the role of the Associate Practitioners and its impact on practice area. My study was subsequently presented at a World Nursing Conference in 2014 in Singapore and also at the Faculty conference.
