I am a registered nurse with an interest in supporting learning and learners in clinical practice. I have worked at Kingston and St George's University of London since 2015. Prior to this I had a number of posts in clinical practice that included; a clinical practice educator, a Trust lead for student nurse placement and a lecturer practitioner.
In my current role as senior lecturer, I am module leader for module for Year 1 within the FDHCP, module leader for mentorship, and personal tutor to year 2 nursing associates. I have additional responsibilities as an academic zone lead for north zone and presentation of mentorship results to the BSc and MSc board of examiners. Through these different roles, I not only have the opportunity to teach on and coordinate modules, but to also support the students studying on the different programmes.
Since May 2019 I hold the positon of Course Director Foundation Degree Healthcare Practice.
My clinical experience has been in a variety of medical and surgical wards.
