Mr Johannes Mellinghoff


I am a Senior Lecturer within the School of Nursing and have joined the Faculty of Health & Social Care Education in 2016. Professionally, I am a Registered Nurse (Adult Nursing) and completed my training in Germany in 1998. Since the year 2000 I have worked in several London hospitals within the specialty of Intensive Care and have gained a multitude of experiences comprising leadership, clinical intensive care nursing, audit and research. My academic interests are in the area of outcome and process management of patients admitted and discharged from Intensive Care Units including family engagement activities that influence patient progression. I am the elected chair of the Nursing & Allied Healthcare Professional Committee of the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine and a member of the C-19 Space Taskforce of the European Commission funded initiative to develop training for non ICU staff during the Coronavirus pandemic.
