I've been a BBC journalist and Academy member for more than 30 years and now combine that with my work at Kingston, where I lecture in Broadcast Journalism. I'm also the admissions tutor for our post-graduate modules. I've designed and managed journalism programmes, trainee and apprenticeship schemes and have spent all my career in print, broadcast and online journalism. I'm a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
I teach two classes: a Level 5 in Broadcast Journalism (BA) and a postgraduate class in Broadcast Journalism that incorporates both a Masters (and Post-graduate Diploma) as well as the NCTJ broadcast journalism modules (leading to the NCTJ Diploma in Journalism). I lead another post-graduate module, Journalism in Context.
