About

I am a former BBC journalist and BBC Academy member. I now lecture in Broadcast Journalism. I'm also the admissions tutor for our post-graduate modules. I worked in TV, Radio and Online for 34 years and also designed and managed journalism programmes, trainee and apprenticeship schemes. I'm a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

I teach two classes: a Level 5 module in Broadcast Journalism (BA) and a postgraduate class in Broadcast Journalism that incorporates both a Masters (and Post-graduate Diploma) as well as the NCTJ broadcast journalism modules (leading to the NCTJ Diploma in Journalism).

I work as an assistant editor on the BBC's Online News team in London. I have 30+ years experience as a broadcaster and have worked on many different outlets and teams.
