I have been lecturing at Kingston University since 2016. Prior to this I was the Ward Manager of Jupiter Ward at Springfield Hospital. I have been nursing since 2003, during which I studied at Kingston University. My nursing career was all based on acute wards, though I have expertise in other areas of nursing, such as PICU, Psychiatric Decision Unit, Mental Health Emergency Service, ED and CAMHS inpatient care through my work as a Bank RMN.
Currently I am the Module Leader for the Transitions and the Therapeutic Interventions and work with the Nursing Associates and Assistant Practitioners. I have a good knowledge of Pharmacology and the Mental Health Act (1983), Mental Capacity Act (2005), Depravation of Liberties Safeguards, Child and Adult Safeguarding, working with the Prevent strategy and radicalised service users, working with families and carers.
