Anne is an RN who has working across a variety of settings. She worked as a community nursing prior to having the opportunity to develop a healthcare service within an educational service for adults with Learning Disability and/or Autism and complex needs.
As Course Lead Anne coordinates the programme which covers the 4 fields of Nursing; Adult, Child, Mental Health and Learning Disability for the BSc Nursing programmes here at Kingston University. This is a new appointment which is a greatly anticipated challenge; however as having held other development roles, previously within the university, she feels well prepared for the challenges ahead.
Anne's areas of interest include improving the learning experiences for ALL nursing students regardless of age, gender, background. I have a great interest in behavioural phenotypes and love the miracle and complexity of genetics.
She is proud of the great relationships with our practice partners; striving to improve collaborative working and increasing practice learning opportunities for students.
She is currently undertaking a couple of research projects supporting the heath improvement and life experiences for people with a learning disability.
