Mrs Cynthia Davis

Senior Lecturer Mentorship & Practice Education

About

I am an experienced registered general nurse who in addition to many years of clinical practice have spent 14 years in nurse management and senior leadership positions, including as Director and Deputy Director of Nursing.

I joined the School of Nursing in 2014 as a Senior Lecturer, my main subjects being mentorship and practice education, modules that are delivered to post-registration nurses. Now working part-time, I have some involvement in the pre-registration and trainee nursing associate programmes. I thoroughly enjoy teaching and supporting students and exploring different modes of delivery. Notable achievements in the last year include supporting staff, student and partners with applications to the national Student Nursing Times Awards resulting in notable successes.
