Mrs Cynthia Davis

About

I am an experienced registered general nurse who in addition to many years of clinical practice have spent 14 years in nurse management and senior leadership positions, including as Director and Deputy Director of Nursing.

Joining the School of Nursing in 2014 as a Senior Lecturer, my main subjects were mentorship and practice education, modules  delivered to post-registration nurses. Now working part-time, I am the course leader for the Return to Practice Nursing & Midwifery course, which runs twice in the academic year, September & January. I also have some involvement in the student nursing associate programmes. A key role as Academic Zone Lead includes working in partnership with Placement Providers and practice learning partners and other key individuals to coordinate the student  learning  experience across  a georgaphic area. I thoroughly enjoy teaching and supporting students and exploring different modes of delivery. Notable achievements in the last years include supporting staff, student and partners with applications to the national Student Nursing Times Awards resulting in notable successes.
