About

I trained as a general nurse at Bristol Royal infirmary. Once qualified i wanted to travel and worked as a staff nurse  an acute surgical unit at  Kings College Hospital where  I undertook   the Intensive Care  Course . On completion of the course  later worked as a staff nurse and eventually as sister in Charge of the ICU at Kings College Hospital . I joined Kings college School of Nursing qualified as a nurse tutor where I worked for two years before travelling abroad, and working with the Ministry of Health in Jordan; where I taught nursing for three years, this was an interesting and profound  period in my career where I worked with a  number of Palestinian refugees and was often humbled by the resilience and motivation I witnessed ,despite the existential difficulties. Back in UK I was appointed as nurse tutor, then Senior Lecturer at Kingston University.
