I am a senior lecturer within the department of rehabilitation science. I am involved in teaching at an undergraduate and post graduate level, in the area of musculoskeletal physiotherapy and pain.
Professionally as a physiotherapist I have worked in a variety of NHS and private settings choosing to specialise in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. My interest in musculoskeletal physiotherapy lead me to undertake a Masters of Manual Therapy at the University of Western Australia which I completed in 2012. On my return to the UK, I took up a role as a clinical specialist physiotherapist. This position was both clinical and managerial helping individuals to manage their musculoskeletal conditions. As well as supporting physiotherapy staff within the department develop their skills and practice. The enjoyment of educational component of role lead me to explore lecturing before choosing to move into Higher Education.
My research interests relate to area of musculoskeletal physiotherapy, pain and widening participation.
