I am a Senior Lecturer in Therapeutic Radiography, based at St George's University - UK's only University dedicated entirely to medical and health sciences education and research. The role involves teaching; research; professional practice and module management.
I am also the Course Admissions Tutor, Postgraduate Research Lead and External Examiner for the University of Salford and External Reviewer for the University of Malta.
My professional career has enabled me to work in clinical, academic and education management. i have worked in the NHS for 20 years: Radiotherapy Treatment Team Lead; Treatment Planning Lead; Clinical Learning Facilitator at Imperial NHS Trust (NHS Band 8a) and as Education Manager in a Breast Screening Centre (NHS Band 8b).
I recommend studying Therapeutic Radiography, the future career prospects are excellent with opportunities to work in management, education and advanced/consultant level clinical practice.
