About
I am the Head of School of Engineering and the Environment. I am a professional engineer qualified to PhD level, and have a Chair in Engineering Design. In addition I studied an MA in Teaching and Learning, have 14 years academic experience and have held various senior posts in academia including external examiner's tenures.
In my previous role I was an Associate Dean of School for Academic Quality Assurance. I have a number of peer-reviewed publications and have led a number of internally and externally funded projects. I have a passion for sustainable design and manufacturing. I am a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Chartered Engineer (CEng) and I sit at the Academic Accreditation Panel. Prior to joining academia, I spent over 14 years in the automotive industry working as consultant and design engineer for iconic car companies.
