Green Week

Swap shop stall, trash-free ThursdayGreen Week, run by the Environmental Working Group (EWG), aims to raise awareness about environmental issues amongst Kingston University students and staff. Events include:

  • a fruit and veg sale;
  • a film screening;
  • guest speakers;
  • radio appearances;
  • photo competitions;
  • guided walks; and
  • swap shops.

As well as helping to spread the group's environmental message to students and securing signatures for a petition supporting the use of sustainable food packaging in the University's canteens, the events during the week raise funds for local environmental charities, such as EcoOp which works with vulnerable adults.
