Pharmaceutical Science with Regulatory Affairs BSc(Hons): Course features

What this course offers you

  • This course is currently the only pharmaceutical science with regulatory affairs degree being offered in the UK. As such we expect graduates from this programme to be highly sought after by employers.
  • This course provides a comprehensive training in the chemistry and biology related to the design, development and use of new drugs for clinical purposes.
  • It explores different sources of medicine, how they work in the body and how they can be formulated.
  • It gives a broad understanding of the pharmaceutical industry.
  • You can transfer to an MPharmSci or MPharm (Pharmacy) degree, subject to your academic performance and an interview.
  • You can gain a career head start by doing a year's industrial placement.
  • Supportive staff help you to reach your full potential.
  • The course has strong links with the Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences who will provide guest speakers and industrial expertise. Guest speakers will also come from our vibrant alumni community many of whom have developed very successful careers in regulatory affairs for a number of years.

  • Alumni life story/career progression events.
  • Industrial visits eg LGC, National Physical Laboratory,  the Diamond Project (Diamond Light Source).
