Study politics

How should Europe respond to migrants and refugees? How is the UK overcoming the challenges of Brexit?

You'll gain the knowledge and skills to debate and engage with both current and historical issues as a researcher, activist and campaigner; all with the support of human rights and social justice specialists.

You are able to study human rights or international relations with a combination of subjects (social justice, criminology, sociology) to suit your own areas of interest.

Our active and engaged department will enabled and encouraged you to make a contribution to political life in your community and become active in a democratic society. Kingston's proximity to central London makes it easy for you to participate in political events and government talks. Also, you'll be able to take part in extra-curricular projects and events, for example in the Centre for Human Rights and Social Justice Practice and the Human Rights Festival.

Many of our courses have an integrated foundation year or the option to undertake a placement year. Click on the course you're interested in below to find out more.
