Welcome to halls 2015/16

You should read this guide before you arrive in halls – it will help you to save time and money. The hall licence, and conditions of your licence, are created for the benefit of everyone to ensure a quiet, safe and pleasant environment in which to study.

Kingston University is a member of the Universities UK approved code of practice for the management of student accommodation. This aims to raise the standards of accommodation above that which is required by law.

The University employs two facilities management companies to run our halls of residence. KUSCO Halls Management is responsible for running the halls of residence at Kingston Bridge House, Kingston Hill, Middle Mill and Seething Wells. Grosvenor Facilities Management is responsible for running Clayhill halls of residence.

The iQ Wave Hall of Residence is a privately managed hall let to Kingston University. If you are allocated a room at iQ Wave you will receive a Welcome pack specific to this hall when you move in, however the information in this guide may also have some general information that is relevant to students at iQ Wave.

Our halls management staff are always ready and willing to help, and are committed to providing you with comfortable, clean and safe accommodation. In return we ask you to observe the conditions of your licence, which include respecting your room, flat and hall site by:

  • keeping it clean;
  • reporting faults promptly to halls management; and
  • leaving it in good order for future residents.
