By train

Kingston mainline station is served by overland trains from London Waterloo. You can find out more from National Rail Enquiries.

Once at Kingston station, you can catch a local bus or the free University bus service to Kingston Hill.

By bus

The following buses run to Kingston from London:

  • 57 (from Streatham)
  • 65 (from Ealing)
  • 71 (from Chessington)
  • 85 (from Putney Bridge)
  • 111 (from Heathrow)
  • 131 (from Wimbledon)
  • 213 (from Sutton)
  • 281 (from Hounslow)
  • 285 (from Heathrow via Feltham)
  • 371 (from Richmond)

Once in Kingston, take the number 85 bus and ask for the Kingston University Kingston Hill stop.

The University also has its own bus service, which runs during term time and is free to University students and staff. You can catch the bus to Kingston Hill (route 1) from the County Hall bus stop (opposite Penrhyn Road).

By car

From London

  • Follow the A3 to the Robin Hood roundabout and take the right lane filter onto Kingston Vale (the A308).

From the North

  • Follow the M1 to junction 6a, where you take the M25. Follow the M25 to junction 13 and take the A30, following the signs to the A308 (Kingston) through Staines.
  • Follow the Kingston one-way system and the signs to Kingston Hill. The halls and the rest of the campus are on right of Kingston Hill.

From the airports

From Heathrow

  • Catch the 111 or 285 bus straight to Kingston upon Thames; or
  • Take the Piccadilly line Underground service to Earls Court, where you need to change to the District Line. Alight at Wimbledon and catch a Kingston-bound mainline train.

From Gatwick

  • Take a train to Clapham Junction and then catch a Kingston-bound train from there.
