Describing himself as an explorer at heart, Malcolm has led BG's exploration efforts for most of the last two decades during which time BG has been involved in 16 giant discoveries, including the pre-salt fields in Brazil.
A Fellow of The Geological Society since, 1982, Malcolm has served on Council between 2009 and 2012 as is in his last year as Chairman of the Petroleum Group. He has served on the Petroleum Exploration Society of Great Britain (PESGB) Committee and is currently on the Advisory Boards of Energy Geoscience International and also the Sustainable Gas Institute at Imperial College.
Malcolm was awarded an Honorary Doctorate from Kingston University in 2007 and regularly returns to share his knowledge and experience with current Kingston students. Read more about Malcolm on Kingston's 'Wall of fame'.
