Alumni, students and staff ‘Upgrade' their LinkedIn skills with Kingston University alumnus Mark Walton

Posted Monday 24 April 2017

More than 90 alumni, students and staff joined law alumnus Mark Walton as he shared his inside knowledge on using LinkedIn as a professional networking tool.

Returning to campus to deliver the final Upgrade masterclass of this year's series, Mark divulged the secrets of a successful LinkedIn profile, how to grow and engage your network, and top tips for marketing your business online.

Mark, who graduated with an LLB from Kingston University in 1996, has worked at LinkedIn for nearly six years, joining as an Enterprise Account Executive in 2011. Mark has since risen to Global Client Executive, leading the overall business relationship between LinkedIn and a number of their largest and most strategic global clients.

After the masterclass, guests were given the chance to ask questions and share ideas with Mark, as well as each other.

We hope you enjoyed this year's series, and we look forward to seeing you later in the year at the 2017/18 Upgrade masterclasses!
