First Upgrade masterclass builds confidence and gravitas

Posted Thursday 31 October 2013

First upgrade masterclass builds confidence and gravitasKingston staff, students and alumni were all at the Kingston Hill campus in October, for the first in the series of Upgrade masterclasses. This event was run by Caroline Goyder, who said:

"In a competitive world, success favours the articulate: it really does matter what you say and how you sound when you say it. When you have gravitas you sound like the pilot of the plane. Others relax and trust your expertise."

Caroline's presentation was both lively and fun. She has worked for many years as a voice teacher at the Central School of Speech and Drama and has spent the last 10 years developing a system to help her non-acting clients perform with the same poise, presence and power in everyday life. Her passion is helping people from all walks of life sound and feel their best.

"These Upgrade masterclasses are brand new, and we are planning to run the events into 2014. They have been put together by the Kingston Alumni Association, Kingston Entrepreneurship Society and Kingston Business School," explains Louise Shepherd, alumni relations officer. "The idea is that each masterclass explores a different topic, with the intention of developing skills and upgrading everyone who attends."

If you were unable to attend, why not view the photos or visit Caroline's website.
