Upgrade masterclass on online networking using LinkedIn with Mark Walton

Our third Upgrade masterclass was held at LinkedIn HQ, an amazing venue that enabled us to bring students and alumni together. Having LinkedIn expert, and Kingston alumnus Mark Walton deliver the session, was both inspirational and insightful. He was able to effectively demonstrate the power and reach of LinkedIn, as well as answer individual questions relating to how to get the most out of the professional platform.
Paula Thorne-Jones, Head of Resources and Planning in the Faculty of Business and Law at Kingston University said: "The guidance about the best way to set up your profile to maximise the benefits was valuable as was the information about groups. Most of the people I spoke to were like me, looking to find out how to get best use out of the time invested in using LinkedIn and I felt the session delivered that."
Attendees stayed after the masterclass for drinks and to further the discussion with one another.
As with all our events in our Upgrade series, the event offered the unique networking opportunities between alumni and current students of Kingston; encouraging collaboration, partnerships and sharing of knowledge and ideas.
