Alumni reunion in Athens celebrates its ninth year

Posted Friday 30 May 2014

Athens Alumni ReceptionA lively crowd of graduates, applicants, staff and guests attended the recent event that took place at the British Ambassador's residence in Athens. Miss Catherine Brooker, political counsellor for the British Embassy, warmly welcomed all the guests.

Speaking on behalf of Kingston University, Dr David Mackintosh, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, said: "Our alumni events are a great networking opportunity. They bring together the Kingston family and nurture mutually beneficial relationships with fellow alumni. Our Alumni Association holds a number of successful international reunions across the world each year".

David also mentioned the successful Annual Fund which supports the Student Hardship Fund, and he encouraged everyone to consider supporting our current generation of Kingston students.

Representing fellow alumni, Avgi Persidi Vallera spoke about how the Hellenic alumni association in Greece is currently thriving and the importance of social media for people to network.

Despite being the event being in its ninth year, we saw a lot of new faces. Many of whom were really keen to find out more about the benefits of the Alumni Association. We encouraged all the alumni to join us on Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter to keep in touch.
