Our education courses are designed and developed in collaboration with local authorities, schools, colleges and other educational organisations, ensuring your learning is informed by the latest developments in the sector. All our courses offer you the opportunity to gain practical experience working directly with children and young people. This will ensure you develop the necessary skills for a rewarding career.
We have close partnerships with schools and other education settings and each of our courses have a key focus on relating theory to practice.
Education and Teaching students benefit from state-of-the-art teaching rooms which replicate real school classrooms, art rooms and science labs. Students will use the facilities to practise lessons before taking them into a school. The library's resources include children's topic books, CDs of music and nursery rhymes, and teaching aids for history, religions, science, maths and music. An outdoor learning environment features a ‘cubby house', pond, beehive and nature trail, where trainee teachers lead natural sciences activities with children.
