Upgrade masterclass: Personal Branding

We welcome Nick Farnhill – Kingston Business School alumnus, entrepreneur and lifetime achievement award winner, as he returns to share his advice and knowledge on the mastery of personal branding within successful business practice.

Nick, who graduated from Kingston University with a BSc in Business Information Technology in 1995, is a founding partner and CEO of POKE, a creative ‘practice' focused on delivering original and effective interactive communications. POKE's clients include EE, Ted Baker, Google, Virgin, UBS, Mulberry and BBC.

Nick began his career at the then fledging Deepend where he launched and helped grow the agency's web offering. This rapidly led to client wins including British Telecom, The British Council, Nike and Volkswagen. By June 2000, Deepend totalled 350 people worldwide and was acclaimed the No: 1 Global New Media Creative Agency (Ad Age International).

In 2010, Nick co-founded The Lovie Awards to celebrate the wonderful and inspiring things connected by the web's many tentacles. He continues to co-chair the awards.

Nick is also advisory board member of indy film streaming service MUBI and is a non-exec director for National Citizen Service. In 2015, he was awarded with a lifetime achievement award for his contribution to the industry.

About Upgrade masterclasses

Upgrade your professional skills with this annual series of masterclasses.

Kingston University Alumni Association, Kingston Entrepreneurs Society and Kingston Business School present a collaborative series of events aimed at students and alumni. The masterclasses will explore a variety of different areas, with the intention of developing skills and 'upgrading' everyone who attends.

As well as self-improvement, the masterclasses will provide a fantastic opportunity for students, alumni and industry professionals to network and share ideas; and Kingston University is a hive of ideas. We have produced the most graduate start-up companies of any higher education institution in the United Kingdom for the fifth year running!

This year's series will take place in Kingston and central London, and will also include networking opportunities.

Booking has now closed.

Please note that registration does not guarantee entry. Guests will be seated on a first-come, first-served basis until the venue capacity is reached. We recommend arriving early to avoid any disappointment.
