Upgrade Masterclass: How to use LinkedIn for Business, Marketing, and Professional Networking

We welcome Mark Walton - Kingston Law School alumnus and Global Client Executive at LinkedIn, as he returns to campus to share his advice and knowledge on using LinkedIn as a professional networking tool.

With more than 467 million members, LinkedIn is the most popular social network for professionals. Launching in 2003, the social media site gains two new members every second, and gets 105 million unique visitors every month.

Mark, who graduated with an LLB from Kingston University in 1996, has worked at LinkedIn for nearly 6 years, joining as an Enterprise Account Executive in 2011. Mark has since risen to Global Client Executive, leading the overall business relationship between LinkedIn and a number of their largest and most strategic global clients.

In this talk, Mark will provide expert insight and knowledge as to how to effectively use the platform for networking, marketing and job hunting.

About Upgrade masterclasses

Upgrade your professional skills with this annual series of masterclasses. Kingston University Alumni Association, Kingston Entrepreneurs Society and Kingston Business School present a collaborative series of events aimed at students and alumni. The masterclasses will explore a variety of different areas, with the intention of developing skills and 'upgrading' everyone who attends. As well as self-improvement, the masterclasses will provide a fantastic opportunity for students, alumni and industry professionals to network and share ideas; and Kingston University is a hive of ideas. We have produced the most graduate start-up companies of any higher education institution in the United Kingdom for the sixth year running!

Booking is essential to attend this event.
