Terms and conditions

The therapeutic engagement questionnaire (TEQ) is freely available if you work or study in a university or healthcare setting. To access and use the TEQ questionnaire you must comply with the following conditions. Otherwise, you must contact Professor Mary Chambers.

Permission to use the TEQ is granted provided the following are adhered to:

  1. Complete this registration questionnaire.
  2. When the TEQ is used and cited in any publication, the full reference to the key paper (reference number 2, listed in the drop-down box above) describing the scale must be included in the footer.
  3. You cannot pass the TEQ on to a third party (instead please direct them to the website and/or Professor Mary Chambers).
  4. You cannot modify or adapt the TEQ questionnaire in any way.

For translations:

  1. Translations into different languages should be done using Back Translation (e.g. as detailed in the Translation Guidelines available on the website).
  2. Include the copyright information in the footer of the scale.
  3. Any translated versions(s) must be made available to others who wish to use them. Send your translated versions to Professor Mary Chambers.
  4. No financial charge can be made for any translated versions of the TEQ.

Collection of information

The data you enter will let us know how many people are using the TEQ and the contexts in which it is being used. It will also enable us to contact users of the TEQ by email about matters relating to the TEQ. The data you enter will not be passed on to any third party, it will be held in confidence and will be accessible only to Professor Chambers and Francesca Taylor.
