Kingston University students spread a little festive cheer

Student development manager Scott Cannie with some of the many presents donated by students and staff.Generous staff and students at Kingston University have been spreading a little festive cheer by donating Christmas presents to children at Christopher’s Hospice, Guildford, and Refugee Action Kingston.

During a donation drive this December, dozens of presents piled up at the University’s Students’ Union, along with rolls of wrapping paper, ready for distribution to the two charities.

Kingston University’s student development manager Scott Cannie said that this year’s scheme had been a great success.
“Students and staff have been so generous and we’d like to thank everyone who’s donated a present,” he said.
“It’s a great feeling to think that our contributions are going to two such worthwhile charities.
The look on the faces of the staff at the hospice when we deliver the presents made it all worthwhile.”

The presents will be distributed to children on Christmas Day.
