Mr Abdulrahman Alsoaery

Research project: Strategic management application and development in the high tech industry


A longitudinal case study base research,  investigating the nature of the strategic management application in SME's in the manufacturing and high tech industry.

Prior to commencing his PhD, Abdulrahman has several years working in both academia and industry. In his earlier full time career he worked in Saudi electricity company in which he promoted later to be the head of health unit and successfully implemented new insurance policy for 4500 employees. In 2007 he started MENASTONE Company with American partner in the Polyurethane manufacturing panels covering the MENA region and exporting to Home Depot stores in the USA. He later joins the academia in the King Khalid University and involved in the design of an MBA degree as well as teaching several modules like strategic management, marketing, organisational behaviour, and supply chain management. Alongside, Abdulrahman entered the consultancy industry and worked for UK and Saudi based companies and later on a co-founder of Smekits management consultancy.    

Abdulrhman is a permanent member of AMBA and member of education committee in Abha chamber of commerce
