Research project: The Spatial-Curatorial-Turn between physical jewellery to virtual jewellery

Abstract

Nowadays, the rise of digital technologies influences our lifestyle choices by promoting new consumption, which is reflected in the new forms of virtual body adornment and other virtual artefacts. This research project is exploring the potential real value of virtual jewellery, with `Spatial-Curatorial-Turn´ as a creative methodology.

`Initial Definition of Virtual Jewellery: Virtual jewellery can be defined as "environmental immersion experience jewellery": VR-related technologies usually achieve environment rendering by combining with the narrative background. In between, the relationship between jewellery and technology can refer to several model examples: Narrative virtual environment - (Symbiosis) - Jewellery experience; Virtual environment - (Symbiosis) - Narrative jewellery.´ (SUN, 2022)
