Since Human Resources Management (HRM) is a crucial part in any business, it is also fundamental to look after employees, address their needs and explore various ways to motivate them. The research is an extension to the master dissertation that was completed in October 2016 (Bournemouth University) which addressed the issue of motivating employees in complex projects in the oil and gas industry in Oman as part of the MSc Engineering Project Management. The focus here is with SMEs and HRM, how to motivate Omanis to work with SMEs, their needs, motivational factors to stay with SMEs. Also on what SMEs needs are such as incentives, government support, access to knowledge, etc for survival and sustainability especially in touch times.
