A UK government-backed programme

Help to Grow Management is a UK government-backed programme for small business leaders that gives you and your business:

  • 12 hours of 1:1 support from a dedicated business mentor to help your business and career as a manager
  • 12-weeks of practical learning designed to fit alongside work commitments
  • a bespoke business growth plan to help your team and business reach its full potential
  • peer calls and networking with people and businesses just like yours
  • graduation ceremony to mark your achievement at Kingston University Business School

The course is 90% funded by the government with a one-off fee of only £750 upfront – a small investment that can play a big part in securing the future of your business.

  • Small and medium-sized businesses have a vital role to play in the growth and prosperity of the UK economy. Through Help to Grow Management the government is helping business leaders to boost their productivity, with training that is proven to get results. This will help UK businesses to reach their full potential as we build back better from the coronavirus pandemic.

    Help to Grow Management gives small and medium sized businesses the edge in leadership to improve productivity, as well as recruit and retain talented staff, find new customers and increase profits.

  • How does the programme work?
  • The programme is designed to be undertaken alongside full-time work, the time commitment is 50 hours over 12 weeks. It uses a combination of online and face-to-face sessions alongside case study workshops to give you the opportunity to apply the concepts being taught to real-life situations faced by business leaders.

    By the end of the course, you will have developed a tailored Growth Action Plan to help you lead and develop your business with the aim of realising its full potential. You'll be supported through the programme by your dedicated mentor, as well as having the opportunity to learn from peers and network with businesses just like yours.

    The programme is delivered by Kingston University Business School, a world class university that has been a leading provider of entrepreneurship education in the country.
