Study film and photography

Our film and photography degrees will provide you with endless opportunities to experiment, take risks and develop your own signature, within a highly supportive and structured studio setting. You'll be prepared to be a leader within the creative industries, which is one of the largest economic sectors in the UK.

You'll work on vital and diverse project briefs that engage in the professional world and develop your professional skills in design, production and project management through Kingston School of Art's own creative agency, Studio KT1. Our brand new film and photography studios have been designed to exceptional specification and are equipped with the latest studio lighting and cameras, tethered shooting and Capture One.

You'll be able to produce films in analogue and digital formats, from high end 4K and high speed cameras to super 8 film, in a professional filming studio environment.

We have colour and black and white analogue darkrooms, with dip and dunk film processing, deep tanks and a 50" digital C-Type printer. All of our Kingston School of Art students have open access to our brand new workshops including 3D materials, animation and post production, printmaking and moving image studios.

You'll be taught by practicing artists, photographers and filmmakers, through workshops, lectures, tutorials, production meetings, screenings and reviews, who'll ensure your learning is always at the forefront of industry. Search our courses to find out more.
